Your stains can be here too! (Client's Stains)

After your henna is applied, the paste should remain on your skin for 8–9 hours or overnight. It will be sprayed with a natural sealant to keep it intact throughout this time. If you prefer a mess-free option, Mefix tape is available at an extra cost — ideal for sleeping or traveling with henna.

Keep your hands warm while the paste is on, as heat helps develop a darker stain. You can do this by wearing gloves, using a hot water bottle, or warming cloves on the stove. Be cautious if your hands get sweaty quickly — excessive moisture can smudge the henna.

After 8–9 hours, scrape off the henna using a butter knife and oil (such as mustard oil). Avoid washing with water. You can also apply a small amount of vapour rub to stimulate warmth and deepen the stain.

Protecting Your Stain

Avoid water for at least 6 hours after removing the paste. During this time, your fresh orange stain will begin to mature and darken over the next 24–48 hours.

Reapply natural oils or vapor rub occasionally to nourish and protect the stain. Wear rubber gloves while doing household chores or use a plastic bag and hairband while bathing to protect your design from water and chemicals.

Avoid swimming as chlorine in pools can lighten the stain significantly.

  • No lovely, avoid water. Use oil (like mustard or coconut oil) to loosen and remove the paste instead.

  • Don’t worry, that’s normal. The stain will darken naturally over the next 24–48 hours.

  • Keep the area away from water for the first 24 hours and reapply aftercare oils as needed. Available to purchase.
